We're officially in the final stretch with baby number three, and I thought it was about time to share what we've been envisioning for our shared master bedroom and nursery nook. Since we decided not to create a separate nursery space this time around, we're calling this cozy corner our "nursery nook." It's designed to feel soothing and sophisticated, but still practical enough to meet our needs as a growing family.

Our goal has always been to keep things comfortable and functional, while adding just the right touch of whimsy. If you're curious, I haven't fully jumped into decorating yet—other than clearing out the dresser for the baby's essentials and doing a deep clean of our closet. Oh, and there’s one more small project I’ve completed for this space: our bedside tables. When I imagined the perfect nightstands—simple, sleek, and white—I couldn’t seem to find exactly what I had in mind at any reasonable price. But then I had an idea that turned out to be both budget-friendly and surprisingly stylish. Instead of buying new ones, we picked up two square Expedit shelving units from IKEA. By only using the top and two sides, we achieved the streamlined look I wanted for our nightstands (check out the picture above).

Now, I just need to focus on creating some artwork for the walls, figuring out which pieces from our dream board I can actually acquire (or find something similar), and maybe even start pulling everything together before baby arrives. With only five weeks left until D-day, I'm feeling the pressure to finalize the details while waiting for those end-of-pregnancy hormones to kick in and give me a boost. Either way, I’m excited to see how it all comes together!

And just in case you were wondering, yes, I’m still working on my weekly series, but life gets busy when you’re nesting with a toddler and a newborn-to-be. So bear with me as I juggle everything, including trying to keep my sanity intact. Stay tuned for updates as we inch closer to the big day!
