Frozen Prepared Squid Food,Frozen Fulayi Strips,Frozen Squid Fulayi Strips Japanese,Frozen Squid Fulayi Ring Zhejiang Industrial Group Co., Ltd. , https://www.xingyeseafood.comHey there! Remember those adorable red pom poms we made not too long ago? Well, they finally found their purpose! We decided to create some super cute Valentine's Day-themed ballet flats for Aliyah, and gold dots were definitely going to be part of the design. Honestly, I just can’t resist gold dots—they’re my weakness.
After searching high and low for a good deal on plain black ballet flats for a little girl (which turned out to be trickier than expected), we stumbled upon a $5 pair at Walmart. Since the shoes weren’t red or pink, we figured why not jazz them up a bit for Valentine’s Day? That’s when the pom poms came into play.
Here’s the best part: the concept and execution are both super simple, and you probably already have most of the supplies lying around your house. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Supplies You’ll Need:
To start, simply dip your round sponge into the gold paint, blot it on the lid to remove any excess, and gently press it onto the shoe. I went ahead and dotted the entire shoe first, then revisited the spots that needed a little more definition. There’s no need to measure or space them out perfectly—I love the slightly messy, handmade vibe they give off.
Once the dots dried, I took things a step further by adding the pom poms. Initially, I thought about gluing them directly onto the shoes, but then I realized how much fun it would be to make them removable. Using the hot glue gun, I attached three hair clips to the backs of the pom poms—one for each shoe and one extra for Aliyah’s hair. Now, whenever we want to add a pop of color, we can easily clip them on. When we’re done, they come right off without leaving any residue behind.
Honestly, I’m absolutely smitten with how these turned out. The combination of the sleek black flats, shimmering gold dots, and cheerful pom poms makes for such a playful yet polished look. Plus, Aliyah loves being able to switch things up depending on her mood—she can rock the pom poms one day and go sans decoration the next. It’s like having two pairs of shoes in one!
This project is quick, easy, and totally customizable. Just be sure to let everything dry completely before letting your little one wear them. Trust me, the end result is worth the wait! These are now Aliyah’s go-to shoes for special occasions, and she always gets compliments on them wherever we go.
xoxo,
