Corn is the most widely used feed. However, due to its relatively simple nutritional composition, there are many deficiencies. In order to give full play to the benefits of corn, the following points must be observed when feeding pigs.

1. Do not simply feed. Feeding pigs with corn alone requires more than 6 kilograms of corn per kg of weight gain. The use of compound feed to feed pigs is only 2.5 to 3 kg of corn.

2. Feeding after saccharification. After corn flour is saccharified, it can convert part of the starch into sugar, which can make pigs like food faster and longer. The practice is: put the corn flour into the tank, and then pour 2 times the hot water that is quickly turned on to fully stir into a paste, and then sprinkle 5 cm thick dry powder on the surface and saccharification after 3 to 4 hours.

3. Supply protein feed. The low protein content and poor quality of corn can not fully meet the growth needs of pigs. Therefore, protein feed must be added. You can add 15% bean cake or rapeseed cake to your diet. Piglets should be added 5% fish meal.

4. Supply minerals. The content of minerals in corn is low, so bone powder, calcium hydrogen phosphate, selenium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, etc. should be added to the diet.

5. Supply vitamins. Low levels of vitamins in corn must be fed with green feed. In the absence of green feed, a variety of vitamins can be added to livestock and poultry.

6. It cannot be stored for a long time after crushing. Corn should be crushed and fed, and comminuted cornmeal should not be stored for a long time. Due to the high fat content of corn, it is susceptible to deterioration over time. It is advisable to use the crushed amount in 15 days, and it is better to use 10 days in the summer.

7. Soak before feeding. Corn soaked absorbs water and expands and softens. Pigs are easy to chew and easy to digest and absorb. Soaking method: add 1 to 1.5 times of water in corn flour and soak for 2 hours.
