According to preliminary calculations, in the first half of the year, the province's agricultural added value was 31.602 billion yuan, which was calculated at comparable prices and increased by 6.1% over the same period of last year. The increase was 0.1 percentage point higher than the first quarter, and the growth rate was 2.9 percentage points higher than the national average; The per capita income of farmers in the province has also been markedly improved, and farmers in agricultural production have increased their income.

In the first half of this year, the added value of planting industry in Hainan Province was 15.172 billion yuan, which was 5.6% more than the same period of the previous year at comparable prices. The growth rate was 0.8 percentage points higher than that in the first quarter, and the contribution rate to agricultural economic growth was 45.1%. Stabilize the important foundation for agricultural economic growth. Since last year, Hainan Province has implemented a series of large-scale production promotion plans for large-scale agricultural products, increased investment in agricultural production and direct subsidies for farmers, significantly accelerated the pace of transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, effectively increased the yield of large-scale agricultural products, and promoted the steady development of crop production. The added value of fishery in Hainan Province reached 7.305 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 8.5% over the same period of the previous year; the province's aquatic product output increased by 7.3%, of which seawater and freshwater products increased by 6.1% and 11.6% respectively. From January to May, the export value of aquatic products in the province increased by 24.9% over the same period of last year. The contribution rate of fishery to the economic growth of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery is 33.1%, which has become an important factor supporting the growth of agricultural economy.

In the first half of the year, the value added of animal husbandry in Hainan Province reached 4.997 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6% over the same period of the previous year. The growth rate was 2.3 percentage points higher than that in the first quarter and contributed 15.7% to the economic growth of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery. The province’s forestry added value reached 3.458 billion yuan, an increase of 2.1% over the same period of last year, and contributed 3.3% to the economic growth of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery.

With the increase in demand for agricultural services in recent years, a number of services related to agricultural production, such as seed production, technical services and agricultural product packaging in Hainan Province, have been continuously developed, and the degree of agricultural industrialization has been continuously improved. In the first half of the year, the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery services in the province was 670 million yuan, an increase of 7.6% over the same period of last year, and the growth rate was 0.7 percentage points higher than that in the first quarter.
