Feed Prevents Six Pollutions

<

When using feed, the following six kinds of pollution must be strictly prevented:

- Insect pest damage. Pests can cause feed nutrient loss or leave toxins in the feed. In the case of suitable temperature and high humidity, quails are more harmful to feed. Rat damage will not only cause feed loss, but also cause feed pollution and spread diseases.

- microbial contamination. Feeds produce harmful microorganisms such as Aspergillus flavus, Gibberella zeae, and Fusarium, producing toxins such as aflatoxins, gibberellins, and zearalenone that are harmful to livestock and poultry. Aflatoxin is the most toxic.

- Anti-nutrition factor pollution. Anti-nutritional factors in feed mainly include protease inhibitors, carbohydrate inhibitors, inhibitors of biological effectiveness of mineral elements, antagonistic vitamins, and factors that stimulate the immune system of animals. Their presence can interfere with digestion, absorption, and utilization of feed nutrients by livestock.

- Contamination of hazardous chemicals. It mainly includes three types of harmful chemical substances, such as pesticide pollution, industrial “three wastes” pollution, and nutritive mineral additive pollution.

- Non-nutritive additive contamination. The role of antibiotics, hormones, antioxidants, mildew-proofing agents and sedatives can play a significant role in preventing disease and improving feed utilization and growth rate. However, unless strict adherence to the principles of use and control of safe use and stopping time, drugs and Its metabolites will remain in meat, eggs, and milk, and will pollute the environment through livestock and poultry excrement.

- Cross-contamination of poisons produced during processing. Improperly controlled processing techniques, and additives with complex ingredients in the feed will undergo degradation reactions, oxidation-reduction reactions, etc., in the special processing processes such as crushing, conveying, mixing, granulation, and bulking, and generate some complex compounds.

In addition, miscellaneous contamination in the feed production process is also an important factor affecting feed hygiene and quality. Therefore, attention should be paid to cleaning equipment during feed processing to avoid decomposition and residue of the feed in the process of transportation and mixing.
