After decades of research, the Institute has fully mastered the artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis indoors and The key technologies of the two modes of semi-wild tending in producing areas.

In 2003, the hospital and Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hi-Tech Development Co., Ltd. jointly undertook the National Development and Reform Commission's modern Chinese medicine industrialization special plan, "Cocktail High-Tech Industrialization Demonstration Project of Cordyceps sinensis," and was implemented in Sichuan Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and established in the local Cordyceps sinensis production area. More than 2,500 square meters of indoor planting workshop and 2000 acres of semi-wild planting base. After several years of implementation, six batches of artificial Cordyceps sinensis with similar morphological characteristics and similar chemical composition to wild Cordyceps sinensis have been produced indoors; Cordyceps sinensis has been cultivated on a semi-wild scale in over 3,800 meters of snow-covered grassland in Kangding, Sichuan Province, More than 2 strains.
