Bananas are typical respiratory peak fruits. Bananas are very sensitive to ethylene, as long as there is a very small amount of ethylene in the storage environment is sufficient to start the ripening effect of bananas, triggering respiratory peaks. Therefore, inhibiting or excluding ethylene is the key to banana preservation.
Harvest time or fruit plumpness is an important factor affecting banana tolerance. The higher the plumpness of the banana, the sooner the peak of breath occurs and the yellowish ripening occurs.
Bananas that are mechanically damaged can cause ethylene and hurt breathing, thus promoting the early emergence of respiratory peaks, and the fruit ripening after becoming yellowish. In addition, the rot caused by the rot also easily invades from the wound and causes the fruit to rot. Even if this is not the case, the scars on the fruit surface will also cause dark patches on the skin, which will seriously affect the appearance. Therefore, it is very important to avoid mechanical damage and do anti-corrosion work.
